I’ve been charting my cycles by monitoring BBT and CM since October. I’ve always ovulated on CD 15. But this cycle, I’m starting to think that I ovulated on CD 10. That’s five days earlier than normal!
Yesterday was CD 10, and I had plentiful fertile CM. I was prepared to write it off as residual semen or the very beginning of my fertile window. But when I woke up this morning, my temp had unquestionably spiked, which suggests that I may have already ovulated. I haven’t felt sick or stressed, and my sleep wasn’t interrupted. So I don’t know how to explain the early temp spike. I won’t be able to confirm ovulation for another two days–It could just be a fluke.
Do you think I may have ovulated early? In that case, could I have conceived already this cycle–we DTD on CD 8? Is early ovulation a medical concern?

Hmm I dunno. It coul djust be a random high temp too. I you had a random high temp on CD 7 last cycle, so maybe you will see a similar pattern. I think it looks like it could be an O since it was accompanied by EWCM, but I guess you will just have to see if your temp stays up. I thought I was Oing super early this month when I got a temp spike a few days ago, but it didn’t stick. At least if you did O you got a well timed BD in there!

Yeah I think you’ll have to wait and see. You did have a spike last month on CD7 as high as this one so it could just be a normal fluctuation.

My temp was back in the typical range today, so yesterday’s spike may have been a fluke. How long can semen stick around to impersonate EWCM? Could I still be noticing it a couple of days later?
