believerbeex3 : We’ve been emailing for over a month about stones and settings after sending thre original one back, and it’s changed several times because the custom ring we were originally going for wasn’t possible to do and then finding the right stock setting was a bit of a challenge. I inquired about going elsewhere and shipping the stone to him when there were no near colorless unbranded left in stock and that angered him I believe. I know he’s put a lot of customer service into me, but I also feel like I’ve been patient through quite a bit of disappointment and long wait times to get answers. It’ll be fine, I just want to get it over with at this point.
I am also getting a near colorless but in an oval. I don’t like the strong hints of blue that the F1 puts out from what I have seen on Instagram. Please keep us updated and post when you have your new ring.
samanthasmama : Aww you poor thing! Did he actually make a comment where you could tell he was pissed off? Cuz that’s not very nice. Lol If it helps, I’ve been looking through MoCo’s IG and the near colorless C&C stones are amazing! Mine will be a near colorless F1 cushion, so I’m super excited about that. Won’t finish the payments until May though. I also just got in my sister’s colorless F1 cushion and looked at it/took pics and vids in all different lighting and that thing was just incredible! It was white, with no dark center, but it never actually looked blue or like it had a strange glow or fluorescence. I actually think they’re stepping up their game with their newer stones. My sister wanted the whitest possible but I’m perfectly happy with a near colorless stone. My previous diamond was supposed to be an F but was actually more like a G-H (generous grading) and I never saw any yellow or warmth in it. I’m sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised! 🙂
Edit: Sorry I totally missed your comment on the 2nd page. Don’t worry about him, he’ll be fine. They deal with tons of customers, but YOU need to be happy with what you’re paying for.
jasc8790 : The tone he responded with was clear that he wasn’t happy about my question, which is understandable given this has been ridiculously drawn out. I’m so sick of rings at this point I don’t even want to think about my decision anymore LOL.
samanthasmama : Yeah I totally understand!! There’s definitely going to be some frustration from both sides if it’s been drawn out that long. He is limited by what the company has available so I’m sure some of the anger was at the fact that he didn’t have what you wanted. I used to work in jewelry so I know how annoying it is to spend a lot of time with one customer, wanting to please them so bad, but then not having exactly what they requested. Don’t let this experience take the joy from you though! Your ring will be stunning and soon this will just be a funny story as to how you got there! 😉
lovesthesparkles : I thought I had to spend an additional $150 to be able to exchange my ring. I sent an email asking and wasn’t told no so I decided to go custom as to not throw the $150 away but the CAD came back awful. I wanted the Tiffany setting to sit flush with a band but the designer just stuck the Tiffany head on top of the ring instead of integrating it with the shoulders and it was insanely tall. Once I saw that I decided to just stick with stock settings and after some more miscommunication I found out I didn’t have to spend anything additional in the first place. We ironed out some of my frustration with communication and I don’t think I’m getting charged for the CAD because it was awful. If I went somewhere else I’d have to start all over again and at this point I’m really over it. Like so over it. I’m hoping I’ll love the new ring and if I don’t then I’ll call it a wash and move on.
samanthasmama : Thank you so much for the compliment, I really do love it and to think of it I really got lucky with this one. I actually do have a sparkle video but I’m not sure how to load it here. If someone can explain it I would be happy to.
