So I don’t know for sure yet but my sister (MOH) just emailed me to tell me she was offered a dance contract and would have to leave immediately and they won’t give her next Saturday off. She has been trying to get another contract with them since her last one ended in May and has had to turn down 2 because they interfered with the wedding. I have heard so many times about how she turned down work because of my wedding. She is always trying to make me feel bad about it. So now with 9 days to go, I think she is going to take the job. I am totally freaking out inside right now and trying really hard to keep it together until I hear back from her. I don’t know what I would do…
any advice or suggestions?!

Assuming this is a career, pay-for-her-food or necessary-for-future-employment thing… quietly orchestrate a backup plan and try to support her if she takes the job? :

@atalante: she currently has a dance job and when it ends, she has another lined up with additional auditions she is going to. I know she wants back on the cruise line she was on before and I will support her decision but it may just kill me inside.

@Mrs.SplatterPaint: **hugs** this does suck. But you kow what not having a Maid/Matron of Honor at the wedding is not really a big deal…one of your other bridesmaids will step up…what sucks though is that your sister will not be at your own wedding….that makes me sad.
I hope you guys can figure something out!

IDK that’s a tough one…you don’t want to stand in her way of career advancement BUT if she doesn’t have to take this job then maybe she just wont.
In all honesty you can’t expect her to put her life and longterm happiness on hold for one day….may sound harsh but it’s reality.
