I hate writing, however, Fiance wants us to write vows. I’ve been putting it off, but now that there are 8 more days to go, I can’t put it off any longer. Fiance told me he has been working on his vows. I’m sitting here, resarching the web for ideas, but I’m drawing blank……I don’t know what to say.

I’m sure that there are some posted online to get ideas from. I would just talk about how your life has changed since you’ve been together and how you’re looking forward to your life together and throw in a couple vows of things you want to be sure to have in your marriage?
There are some ideas from just googling it.

i think theknot.com has a “fill in the blank” kind of deal where all you gotta do is that, or if you send me something about your relationship, send me a photo of you and I will do it for you… free, this is not a solicitation…. I like to write:
where did you meet?
what do you love about him?
gimme what things you have in common?
what is your fondest memory?
any other info would be helpful.
just email me [email protected] and I will be happy to help you with this! I want to write our renewal vows but hubbie aint into it, and I am really like a poet kinda person. So I honestly do not mind helping you if you need the help:)

@glittermoon: and @stokieGal: Thanks for your suggestion.
@Ronneykay: Thanks for your offer. As much as I’m tempted to have you help me, Fiance would be disappointed that I didn’t write it my own; however, I welcome your critique.
Here is the draft. Let me know what you think.
It was not love at first sight when I first met you at XXXXX office; however I knew you were the one for me when you continue to love XXXX (our cat) after so much hatred she gave you for taking away her mommy. From this moment, I, XXXXX, take you, XXXXX, to be my husband, my partner, my friend and my confidant for life. I quit many things in my life because I took the easy way out, however I vow to never quit on us when things get tough. I know, I’m not easy to be with, but I promise to work at our love and always make you a priority in my life. I promise to stand beside you through thick and thin; to support you through our journey so that we can accomplish more than we could alone. I love you and want to grow old with you. This is my solemn vow.
