He keeps asking me if the ring we found at Robbins Bros is still my favorite. I know he was going back there for a meeting sometime this week. Today I went to another jeweler, because I’m still trying to find something a little closer to the budget amount.
I told him I found a setting I liked…but that it was $28,000.
Him: Nice. So how much do you like it?
Me: Not $28,000 worth. Maybe not even $3,000 worth.
Him: So not nearly as much as the one we saw at Robbins Brothers.
Me: Not even close.
Him: That’s still the winner, isn’t it?
I wonder if this is some kind of a sign?
I didn’t really have a sense of “waiting” before. I mean, I posted here, but I wasn’t really antsy. We are far from what I consider “red-flag waiting” (where it’s been so long you don’t even know whether he actually wants to.)
I definitely wanted him to ask me at some point, but I wasn’t sitting on the edge of my seat. And now, I kind of am. I wonder if what he says means anything? Maybe he already has it? He was asking specifically what kind of free time we would have this weekend…
I wonder how he will ask? He’s such a romantic, I am sure it will be something awesome, but now that he might actually have the ring, I’m getting super excited!
