@londonchick:  Regardless of how you intended it, that’s how it reads, and seeing you had to clarify already I’m not the only one that felt it read that way, which means it’s poorly worded. I am in no way upset about this, just saying there is a way to voice an opinion without being insulting. Calling people names and making fun of their choices doesn’t make you look smarter or superior (quite the opposite in fact), and I am not going to drop to that level, so if you want to continue to argue with me that way go ahead. You are obviously much more upset about it than me.

@Amasmash:  I think your dress is beautiful! Mine looked a lot like yours, and I still wore jewelry!

i honestly can’t see what the big deal is. We’ve seen hundreds of dresses like this on WB. It’s a wedding dress, and if it looks good on you, then I don’t see the problem! I don’t think it’s over the top. Not my taste personally, but it’s something many brides would look for!

THIS is over the top, in my opinion:

Oh and yeah, what’s with the attitude? I’ve seen lots of people on wb being really snarky and rude lately….it’s a shame.

Rock that dress girl! it’s your wedding day not anyone else’s. If i went to a wedding and the bride was wearing a paper sack……i’d still tell her she looks amazing!

FYI: This is my dress

I don’t think it’s egregiously over the top at all, but I would lose the front pickups.

ETA: Just saw the dress actually on *you* and not the model. It needs pressed, but aside from that it’s fine. The pickups look a lot less pronounced in person, and I think if you keep the accessories on the simpler side, you should be just fine.

Hon, you are beautiful and anything you wear is going to look beautiful too.  I think you need a crinoline under the skirt to fill it out.  Have you tried one on with it?

You can never be overdressed. You CAN be underdressed. Why would you want to look ‘simple’ on your wedding day? You said yourself you dress simply all the rest of the time. This is your one day where you can look amazing and not worry about it! That dress is beautiful. The style may not be to everyone’s tastes, but let’s not be rude about it – if everyone had a similar taste in wedding dresses, dress shoppign would be VERY boring! You are going to look stunning.

ETA I just saw your photos! I must be flipping psychic because you DO look stunning!

This drss hugs your waist and shows it off in a very very nice way!

Agree with PP you need a crinoline / petticoat to fill it out.

By the way, dress looks nicer on you than model because model had toooo much going on on top with the big necklace, and blingy hair thingy. Are you wearing a veil?
