If the new dress is only going to cost $200, by all means get it! 🙂

I am one that had total dress regret (my dress was custom made and due to the seamstress’ illness, I didn’t get it until a week before the wedding and it was too late to do anything about it) and to this day hate looking at my wedding pictures because I did not feel beautiful at all, I say get one of those Dressilyme dresses.  Out of the ones you posted, I absolutely love #1 and I think it will make you feel like how you felt in the Belle dress.

Since you already ordered the other one, did you just put a deposit down?  If so, how much?  I would call the store and ask their policy on refunds or partial refunds as I bet this stuff happens all the time.

I really like dresses 1, 2 and 4.  Not crazy about the belle, and to be honest, not crazy about the dress you already have (I don’t love colour panels either).  I would try to sell your current dress and put the money toward ordering one of the ones you posted.  To me, the Belle has too much going on.  I’d simplify it a bit and go with one of the dressilyme ones.

Either way, we are giving you opinions because we are looking at other options, but if you choose to go with your original dress, you will look beautiful, and your guests and fiance will be none the wiser!  Good luck!

@hiroshymatetrastar:  Ok,  yes – the shrug on Belle is what’s bugging me too.  It’s too much.  But it is a beautiful dress and removing the shrug would make it even nicer.  I feel like the shrug overwhelms – lit takes away from the person wearing the dress.

But as others have suggested, I’m sure you could get a used Belle in great condition.  My dress was all tulle on the bottom and I had no issues with staining or anything.  Have a look around and see what you can find!

@hiroshymatetrastar: if you can afford to take the hit i would go with option 1. it is so beautiful and very bridal. You should try to see if you can sell your current dress so you dont take as big of a hit. I dont feel like your current dress is very bridal either and you would look much more beautiful in a different style.

the belle looks gorgeous on you btw! maybe see if you can get that one made.

I voted for #1, but also like #4, followed by #3.  They seem to have more of the “Belle” feel.  There is nothing wrong with wanting to feel like a princess on your wedding day.  If you have the budget to buy a second dress, you certainly should.  Good luck, and please post your final choice!

What about having a “belle” replica made?

I had dress regret and fell in love with a dress that was twice what I wanted to spend on a dress.  I ended up deciding to try to sell my first dress and get the 2nd dress and I do not regret that decision for a second.  It ultimately is your choice, and if you think you’ll continue to wish you had a different dress or if you can live with the dress you already have.

If you decide on a different dress I chose #2.

@hiroshymatetrastar:  a lot of sellers on ebay use wedding stock photos and make replicas. You can contact them and ask if they will make a replica based on photos. I randomly messaged a few of them looking to have a dress made for another event. I ended up not needing it but almost all of them said they could do it. They list wedding dressed for like.. $175-$250… I can’t speak for the quality… but it might be worth a shot.

    OR

Sell some stuff around the house on ebay or kijiji, then buy your dream dress?
