Hug!  I wonder if you could be allergic to one of the ingredients in the pressed powder?  But, yeah, stress is bad for skin, no doubt.  I still get zits sometimes in my forties, it really sucks.  Makes me look younger, though.  πŸ™‚

Wow, you’re down to a week not including today.  πŸ™‚

Eh, I don’t put much stock in “mineral” make-up hype. It’s very much a branding trend. I did try the Jane Iredale pressed powder base and thought it was ok…better than Bare Minerals, but not better than some drugstore brand powders I’ve tried. If it’s making you break out, it’s clearly not a good match for your skin, even if it does work well for someone else.

I’m pretty sure bare minerals made my skin a lot worse and I just didn’t figure it out for a long time. I don’t know what it is though. If you can tell a difference I would stop using it.

@WillyNilly:  Yep, that’s me.  I saw on another thread you said you take hot showers when you get mad or upset and I do the EXACT same thing!  Why is it that hot water calms us down?

Mineral makeup is good for my skin but I use Ulta, not the really expensive stuff.  I’ve tried the Avon line but it wasn’t as good.  They all have different ingredients.

I can’t wait for your recap!  πŸ˜‰  You’re going to look just beautiful, I’m sure of it!

The mineral makeup seems like it gets clogged in my pores so I don’t use it.  Clean your face, get a facial, and toss that crap out.

@WillyNilly:  I’ve never much cared for mineral makeup, but if you’re fair-skinned/sensitive I have some recommendations I could make for you πŸ™‚

@WillyNilly:   I did the same thing with my son when he was a baby and it always worked like a charm to calm him down.  I wonder if my Mom did it, I have no idea, lol.

@WillyNilly:   What about using oil blotting sheets instead of reapplying powder?  I only apply mineral makeup once in the morning and use oil blotting sheets if necessary.  But mineral makeup doesn’t clog my skin (even though it’s on the oily side).

What kind of makeup were you using before?  Did it break you out, too?

Could you just stop wearing makeup this week and then use whatever makeup you used for your trial? Hopefully by not using it this week, the breakouts will be minimal, but you wouldn’t have to stress about trying a totally new makeup right before the wedding…
