I got a save the date in the mail yesterday for a friend.
The thing is, she hasn’t been in a relationship for awhile, as far as I knew and this is the last person I’d expect to be planning a wedding.
It reads like this
Friendsname is getting married!
December 22, 2012
Formal invitation to follow
I called her and said congratulations and all of that and asked about the lucky man. She said she heard about some woman marrying herself on the news and thought that it was a good idea.
What good idea?
I don’t know what to say.

@GroovyHippieChick: Oh God no. I wish that I were.

Oh my… I’d say your title is pretty accurate! I don’t know what I would say, I’d probably just hope one of her family members would talk her down from this idea…

Thats pretty funny…LOL…..!
In a weird, crazy way.

I remember a ton of posts on here a while back from some girl who was throwing a wedding for herself. I wonder if it’s the same person?
Oh jeez. “Is it too early to RSVP no?”

Talk about a cry for attention. Does she expect to have people throw her a shower and bachelorette and to get gifts?
@LR2012: My first thought as well.

Did she have any other details you can share with the rest of us nosey parkers? I can’t be the only one 🙂

I keep staring at the save the date and shaking my head. Is it possible for your head to explode from confusion overload?
Huh. Well, best of luck to her; I really hope that it doesn’t end in divorce when she cheats on herself!

I’m pretty sure that was a Lifetime movie.

@LR2012: yes! did she ever update on if it happened?

@Snow00774: The card is snow themed. I didn’t think that you could get winter stuff in summer so that’s totally wierd. I don’t know shit other than that. I don’t think I want to know.
