Our first married Valentine’s Day and the poor guy is locked in the bathroom. He had a turkey sandwich box lunch thing on the plane home from a work trip last night and woke up miserable this morning. Guess I’ll hold off on making the rich holiday dinner I was going to make!
Any tips on keeping him comfortable? I’ve never dealt with this before.
If he were a baby, I’d give him pedialyte, lol.

There’s really not much you can do except wait it out. Make sure to keep him hydrated with lots of liquids.

I think you could give him Gatorade, that’s like adult pedialite!
Poor guy. I hope he feels better soon, and that it’s not a contagious bug.

And for nausea if you have Coca-Cola or Pepsi pour it into a cup it has to be hot like not in the fridge…and stir it up with a spoon to take out the carbonation and give that to him ..the syrup that Coca-cola and pepsi is made with is also sold and that’s for nausea..its just called Cola

@jduck-I hope it’s not contagious too… he got a few kisses last night after being away for a week! 😉
He’s got some ginger ale right now (no pepsi or coke in the house) and I may go get some gatorade and saltines in a bit.
ETA: This is a yearly trip to california, and two years ago he got food poisioning-like symptoms also! This is an unlucky trip!

Make sure he goes easy on the ginger ale. Too much of it could just end up being worse. Don’t let him have anything with dairy in it for a day or two until he’s better. It coats the throat and can make him feel more nauseous.
You can pour some soda into ice cube molds and let those freeze and then he can suck on them. It gives him the sugars that he needs slowly so his stomach doesn’t react badly to it.
