While yes, you need to speak/see the Vet, I wouldn’t be too freaked out.

Red blood is fresh blood, which means it is can be something as simple as a small cut in the mouth/throat, or an upset tummy.

Dark/old blood is what you want to watch out for, it would look like small coffee grounds in vomit.

@NurseMandie:  When my cats throw up it gets that same ‘foamy’ look. I definitely think its from the stomach. Hopefully you figure it out soon.
