@Olive-Popeye:  I sent mine out like last week of January and they started coming in a few days after.  I just finished contacting about 50 guests I haven’t heard from and turns out some didn’t receive the invite at all :T .  It’s kind of a nice personal touch I guess to contact each and every one of the guests.  I hope for your sake that you won’t have as many to contact in the end as I do..!  My deadline for RSVPs is March 10..

ETA: I still don’t regret my beautiful square invites though lol!  The people who did receive them are swooning over them ๐Ÿ™‚

@Olive-Popeye:  No, my postage was correct – $1.10 for each envelope (had them measured/weighed at 2 different post offices just to be sure!) People had warned me about postage increase after late January though, so it might have gone up since then.  Just an FYI!

It seriously looks like my envelopes have been shoved in machines and some of the envelopes got shred apart. (One envelope I got back from the USPS was just the back flap of an envelope with only our return address on it!  I’m like what the hell is the point of sending this back to me?!)

Some of these ruined invites still got to the recipients with the invite itself intact but the envelope ruined lol.  Ugh.. whatever.  I’ll probably stick to a standard shape of mail next time for whatever mail I have to send!

@Olive-Popeye:  Ugh, that sucks! It’s crazy we put so much trust in the postal service when they’re clearly so incompetent, I’d really like to know the story behind the flaming collection box. I’m really sorry this happened to you after all of the effort you put in. ๐Ÿ™

Only one of my guests didnt receive their invite. Local guests got the invite in 2-3 days, out of towners took about 5. Mine were mailed non machine able for $0.86 each. Did you write non machineable on them? I had to do that.

@Olive-Popeye:  I am glad you got them back but dang does that suck. I think I’d be going bridezilla at this point if I were you. I hope you find a way to use your custom stamp. Maybe just ditch the flowers since that is what caused them to be sent back in the first place (supposedly) ?
