I’m curious what’s wrong with getting it from Amazon? Is it because it’s from a 3rd party seller?

I think it looks pretty! He may just be using amazon for styles because… well… they have a bazillion… but if he does order from amazon I would be fine with that. Just hope whatever he gets it has a warranty (i beat my rings up).

They have their own direct site also – I’d actually prefer to go through Amazon if you can, because then if something goes wrong, you have the power of Amazon to get a refund.  It looks beautiful!

It’s pretty, but it looks like the center stone sits REALLY low.  Is that what you want?

I would trust purchasing an item through amazon before joe bag of donuts website any day.  Especially if there was a problem with payment or return.  Bigger branding = safer security measures for the consumer [99% of the time].  People buy from ebay, why not amazon?

It’s fine, don’t let anyone here spook you.

RunnerChick :  True, but it looks like it will have the effect of a low sitting center stone because the band comes up to meet the stone almost at the top.  Not saying this would not be pretty, but I would try it on first.  Or at least something a bit similar.

marriedalready69 :  WE LOVE JOE BAGS!

Also, yes. Amazon has a robust refund system. I’d feel 100% ordering from them.

It’s definitely not LOW-set. It’s actually HIGH set. The culet of the stone is a few milimeters above the band. That’s considered high.

It’s very pretty, OP! Good luck!

RunnerChick :  This ring looks great. And buying from Amazon is actually probably much safer than buying from a random seller or from Etsy since Amazon has quite a bit of power over returns and what not. Also, the ring looks gorgeous and is at a great price. The only thing I would double check is the terms of the warranty. Some online sellers will void the warranty if you have a local jeweler do anything to the ring (this may include sizing, replacing pave stones, cleaning, etc). So just double check what you can do at your local place and what you’ve got to send it back for.
I’m super excited for you!

bridetobe2018 :  The band coming up to meet the stone like that is called Cathedral Set. It’s one of the safest ways to set a high set stone because it allows for more support on the head. It will definitely still look high set.
