@AnnaBanana27: Aw those are adorable!

We aren’t married yet and don’t plan on having kids for a while but we’ve got the names ready. We want two boys and a girl so we’ve got them all figured out. (we’ll be in trouble if we end up with all girls haha)

Boy: Harrison Ryan High (I voted for Ryan Harris High because my maiden name is Harris and I am the last of the Harris line. But it just doesn’t sound right)

Boy(2): Gregory Michael High (after his dad and my dad)

Girl: Mary Nicole High

if your going to be calling them by their middle name then why not switch it around and make the middle names the first? just seems funny to me to call them a name thats not their first.. is this a custom in the usa or?? im from Australia and i dont get it lol. but the names are vey cute 🙂

All your names are lovely, but I just have to ask if there is a reasoning behind calling him/her by his/her middle name instead of using Reid Collin and Claire Katherine?

@Joeydoodle: I thought the same thing! And I’m from the US. To the OP, lovely names but why are you going to call them by the middle name? I think they would sound good switched around…and the switched around names are less common and quite lovely!

@Joeydoodle: from where I am in the USA (Virginia), it’s not uncommon.  It’s also normal to call a girl (or boy) by their first AND middle names… example: Mary Lee instead of just Mary.

I’m not sure about other places, though….

OP:  They’re cute names, though!!!!

I guess it’s a southern thing,

I’m Clarissa Rae and went by Rae until I hit high school.

My dad: Joseph Randall, goes by Randall.

My Fiance: Gregory Ryan, goes by Ryan.

It doesn’t matter which name you call them, it’s just in whatever order the name sounds best. Rae Clarissa doesn’t sound good at all.

@Zinzerena: Haha, exactly! And agreed in the double name, my Future Sister-In-Law is Mary Kathryn.

Very interesting! I live in New England and only know one person who went by his middle name rather than his first…but he was from Georgia. I guess that explains it lol. Thanks chr1729 and ryna! I like first and middle names together, I call my little sister it sometimes because her name is pretty!

@Mrs.Firefly1: Thank you! I hated it until I hit high school and started really getting interested in boys(;
