So Im wearing a big burgandy ball gown and my fiance has been trying to decide what she will wear. She is not the dress wearing kind but also doesn’t want to be in a mans suit.
What we plan to do (fingers crossed we can make this happen)is order enough extra fabric from my dress maker to have a tailored ladies suit made to match my dress, we will also have an extra fabric rose that is on my dress made to put on the suit somewhere.
Only hitch, we were initially planning on her clothing budget being about $200, she was talking about just wearing dress pants and a shirt and vest, we decided that would not make her feel special enough. Does anyone have any idea how much it will cost to have this done? Im hoping to still stay under $400 but not sure if that is reasonable?

DH had custom suits made for him and each of his guys made through a tailor in Hong Kong, and it ran about $350/suit. Some of them needed very minor alterations once they arrived, but for the most part the suits fit everyone perfectly. The shipping is what killed him. Otherwise, I think it would have been closer to $250/suit…. Shop around and ask friends for recommendations. Since you’re providing the fabric it might be a bit cheaper too.

Well last minute switch of dress makers as I have found someone local who will do the suit for 100 plus fabric and the dress for 300 plus fabric. so now fingers crossed we can get a cheapish option for the fabric and we are go for lift off!

Glad you found a solution! I hate how few feminine suits there are for brides who marry brides!
