Accept there is no such thing as ‘karma’ and that bad people can lead happy lives.  And don’t waste any more thought on this person.

@TheMsMittens:  This. The whole “karma” thing is said by some to make others feel better but the truth is not only is it the wrong use of the word karma, but also people can make bad choices and still go on to lead happy lives. Maybe even grow and learn from it. 

It is a waste of your energy to worry about it or to wish unwell on them. I totally can empathize with you being resentful given the circumstances, he acted very selfishly and really “screwed you over”, but let that resentment go.The best “revenge” is to learn from the experience and live well. We all have our own paths to experience and live. Live yours happily and let others concern themselves with theirs.
