Are you sure the work call didn’t kill the mood for him?

Or maybe he saw this  insurance thing as a precurser to getting engaged?

That is a huge let down though… I’m not sure I’d want to hear about life insurance while on a romantic date…

ahhh i’d be sooo disappointed. that’s crazy. i bet the work call “ruined” the moment for him, so he just went with the life insurance thing. LOL

Oh man! What a let down! But hey, on the other hand, a life insurance policy for him just for you is a pretty big legal deal.

aw. on one hand, it’s cute that he wants to take care of you. on the other hand, how did he not think that in this scenario you would be thinking he was going to propose?  …guys.

Guys can be so stupid sometimes. I find it humorous that he gave you that whole speech just to say he got some life insurance but I feel so bad that he got your hopes up. ๐Ÿ˜ If he’s willing to do that for you and your child, however, I’m sure a ring will follow!

Sure, life insurance isn’t as fun as a pretty shiny ring, but taking out an insurance policy shows that he is thinking about the future, he’s in it for the long haul, and your financial stability is important to him.  And this is how some men show love, not in terms of jewelry and shiny things but in terms of long term stability.

Try not to rain too hard on his parade.

I would be really upset, actually. I don’t think I’d be able to hide it, either.

And I’d also tell him, how about one thing at a time? Let’s make a commitment to each other with marriage before we start talking life insurance. Ridiculous!

Life insurance is a nice gesture though, he really wants you to be taken care of if something were to happen to him…it is a type of commitment….just not the ring type.

LOL

Your response should have been, “I wouldn’t need my own policy if I were your wife..” lol Actually I don’t know if that’s how life insurance works, but that’s reallly a hilarious story, although I’m sorry for your disappointment!!

if i was in your shoes i would have expectd a proposal and been down as well! but then, i would be happy that he’s really thinking about your future in every sense of the word. that is adorable.
