I really love the idea of Hey There Delilah by Plain White Ts. Fiance doesn’t object but he hasn’t actually agreed yet. His mom is a bit silly and says she doesn’t get the song. 🙂 Haha it has always unofficially been our song. While I was in High School he was off at college. Now that I’m in College he is 8 hours away in Ohio working while I finish up. After our wedding it will pretty much be the first time (Other than a few short times over the years) we will actually be able to live less than 2 hours away.I guess that is why our first dance is a big deal to me?
I am really just looking for something that tugs on everyone’s hearts, fits us, and hasn’t been heard of often (at least by our friends and family) 😀
I LOVE Adele’s voice. I am seeing a lot of brides say they’re going to use Adele’s Make You Feel My Love. This is amazing but again Fiance hasn’t agreed. He isn’t hard to please I think he just hasn’t heard one that is right yet. I think he is looking for a different genre than I am, but I plan to win him over 😉
So what I am hoping to get help with is finding a song by PWTs, Adele, or any other really great pop band/artist. I adore the idea of covers or alternative versions you think would be a great fit for a first dance song.
Some other artist I’ll be checking into: Sara Bareilles, Colbie Calliat, anyone with a powerful voice like Adele, etc.
Also I LOVE DC, but his brother was just married in OCT and used them for their first dance, so I’d like to stay away from them.
A look into my way of sneaking PWT’s Hey There Delilah into our wedding: I’ll be riding in on carriage and then walking down the aisle with my mom to this!
If you used an alternative version or neat first dance song, please share!
If you have any ideas for a song you think would fit into what I’m looking for I would love to see it in the comments. 🙂

Thanks in advance bees for your time. I have been on YouTube and Pandora like an addict the last couple of days and I could really use an outside perspective.
