For months I’ve been grappling with the decision of where I’d get my invites and what they’d look like. I came so close to buying one of those kits at Michael’s (didn’t really even like the design I was thinking of getting), but I was afraid they wouldn’t come out good, so I didn’t. Now, I’m thanking goodness that I didn’t buy that kit at Michael’s. I got a wedding stationery sample kit from Vistaprint last week (I highly recommend you guys do it if you’re looking for invites, it’s free). When I opened the kit and saw the quality of the invites, I was amazed. I’ve ordered so many nice things from there, but I didn’t know if their invites would be nice, too. I mean, given their low prices, I didn’t think it was possible to get quality invites so cheap. But, it is! I ordered invites yesterday for a whopping total of $23! Yeah, that’s right, $23! They’re being printed on linen paper, too. I paid about $4.50 for the linen paper, but I think they would’ve been around $18 if I’d gone with the included Matte paper (it’s nice too). There are other paper options of varying costs. Having the sample kit helped me decide on linen. The invitations come with plain, white envelopes.
For reply cards, I actually got a little more thrifty and I took advantage of their 250 free business card deal. I just picked a template that sort of matched my invites/color scheme and filled it in with RSVP stuff instead of business info. They don’t come with envelopes, so I’ll have to get those somewhere else. But, hey, $23 for invites and reply cards… not too shabby!
