Why aren’t you trying on dresses? Just because you’re not ready to buy doens’t mean you can’t start looking, for some brides it takes over a year to find “the” dress– so I say start now and guarantee you’ve got enough time to find your perfect dress!

I agree with juliette.eliza.  Depending on where you buy your dress from, it may take a while for it to arrive and then alterations and fittings.  Get busy girl.  You’re not really that ahead of schedule.

Hey don’t fret.  I went and tried on wedding gowns the day I got back from Thailand (where my FH proposed).  And then, three months later we went to Vegas with my family.  Me, my mother and future mother in law went to a bridal store and I found my dress… one year and three months before my wedding!

Yeah, go try some on! I went for the first time a year and a few months before my date and will probably go a few more times before I’m ready to buy around the end of summer. I kind of figure that if I find something I love I might be able to find it cheaper online.

Mine isn’t until Oct 2013 and I went to try on dresses a week ago. Just do it! It is so much fun and you can try on all different styles and play around so you learn what you like on your body. Then get a bit more serious as you get comfortable with what you like.

I will add that it’s good to go try some on – however I wouldn’t buy any too soon, becasue you won’t believe how tastes change.  A little browsing online and BAM – dress regret!

Why can’t you try them on???  I agree with some of the Bees just try them on to see which style you like and then once you narrowed it down you will surely find “THE DRESS”!!  I would go try on dresses now my self when my wedding isnt untill 2014 but patiently waiting for that ring he has!!! πŸ™‚

I bought mine at a year and a half!

Problem could be dress regret something I NEVER HAD. Maybe I wish I tried on a few more like something with ruffles or something but honestly the dress I walked in wanting was the dress I walked out with. Even if I had to wait a year and a half.

Mine is a year and a month away and honestly I will probably be trying on dresses for fun lol.  I already have one but its far away trying them on will give me an idea of wether I’ve hit the right bridal size to fit into it.  Plus it would be nice to have the experience.

Go ahead!!!! Heck, I got mine the weekend after I got engaged! It wasn’t the plan, but sometimes you just find the right dress early! And it gives you PLENTLY of time to pay if off if you end up taking that option. Plus, then you can plan your wedding around the dress!
