My Fiance and I are sort of “borrowing” my mom’s Cairn Terrier and I love him very much, but I know one day my mom is going to want him back and I really want to get our own puppy!
Fiance and I just don’t have the time for that now though lol!

I know how you feel, I want to get a pet for my daughter but our landlords are saying “no.” Sigh.
Please consider a shelter pup if possible! You may be able to adopt your desired breed.

Me too! We have a 7 year old yorkie but I can tell he’s bored (when I lived at my parents house still, they had two big dogs he loved to play with). We can’t get a puppy until April, when we move into a house because our current apartment is too small for two dogs. That doesn’t stop me from looking at puppies, and adoption shelters! It’s killing me! hehe
Happy Friday to you as well!

Yea we just do not have the space at the moment. It would not be fair.
We will be getting our kitten from a shelter, but Fiance has never had dogs before and a pound dog worries him. We will of course look, but if there are no puppies then we will go to the breeders.
We know people who have a wonderful pound dog, but we also know those who have had terrible experiences. For our first dog we would want something where we know the background. After our first dog, Fiance would be used to dogs and we would just go to the pound.
But for his first experience I want it to be good, so we can keep having dogs! 🙂
Soo excited about it, even though its well over a year away! LOLz

My Husband can’t wait until we move. He wants a lab and I want it to be a chocolate one. Hopefully he falls in love with that color (crossing fingers)
I feel you though. I want some bunnies….I can’t wait until we have more room for more pets!!
Right now it’s just my baby corgi and my husband that fit.
I wonder if they’d have a choco lab in a shelter. Guess I’ll start searching.

Puppies are wonderful. We have two dogs- a 2 year old Husky, and for Valentine’s day my Fiance got me a Samoyed puppy who is now 7 months old. She is so wonderful. She has a spectacular disposition, and my Fiance claims she’s the best puppy he’s ever had. However, if you’ve never had a puppy (she was my first, so I wasn’t sure what to expect) and you value your shoes, furniture, carpeted floors, walls, baseboards, clothes, bras, chairs, etc, etc, etc think long and hard before you buy one.
Because I can promise you they will destroy something on that list, if not multiple things on that list. And that gets incredibly frustrating because the teething phase lasts awhile with all of their puppy teeth coming in, and then their adult set coming in.
If I had to do it again tomorrow I think I would go with a young adult shelter or breed specific rescue dog. There are plenty of great options out there that aren’t from breeders, but I really fell in love with the Samoyeds when I went to go see the family that my puppy came from and held Mila as a month old puppy.
