I feel so empty… I want that one and had NO complaints/regrets about it ever!:( I feel very very sad. Have been since it got ruined. I keep looking for a used one and found it but too big(10, I need at least a 6) I wear a 2 in it. What can I do?? I just do not feel good knowing that THAT dress was it for me…

oh no! What happened to your dress??
I kind kind of commiserate. I ordered a dress, well I had it picked out, and the bridal salon ordered it, then a few weeks later found out that it was discontinued and they wouldn’t make it for me. The owner of the salon asked if they would make an exception because they took the order and never said it was discontinued for a few weeks. But they said no. So I went with my 2nd fav dress. I still love it, but i really had that “bride feeling” in the first dress.

Welll I got it, it came and I tried it on,took it home and then found HUGE tears/rips in the tulle…. I went back to tell them almost crying. They said ok, well lets order another one. It came and was in IVORY! I did not want ivory. I loved the white with the black lace details and dont look that great in ivory. They then told me that it was discontinued and I would have to pick something else… I Was like WTF???!!! Crying and stuff. I loved it, it was the one. I know bc I keep googling pics of it all the time. I am NOT happy with the one I have and yes,,, I did just sell it the other day. I had to. The lady said she has been dying to get the one I have and that it was now discontinued in white(what I have). I know the feeling of wanting a dress so bad but cant have it. I actually took off all the details on my sold dress now and she was planning on doing the same. Weird. I just shipped it today. I know I am gonna hear it on here but oh well. I just was not happy with it… I was forced to get it bc DB would not give me my $$ back and ruined my dress. I had to get corporate involved anyways. Yes I know I just got my deposit back from the Allure one. I just didnt feel right having 2 dresses at the time, but now I sold the mermaid one( DB exchange). Which I feel soooo relieved btw! So I am going to try and find a similar ballgown. I guess this is my day to wear a big ol gown! After PM’ing a bee today, she made me feel less crazy and talking to my Maid/Matron of Honor and some family. People know I keep going back to that black white gown. I loved it and it was mine:( I dont care what anyone says, yes I may be a bit nuts but in the end I want to be happy. Now I have $500 to do what I want…

I don’t think you’re crazy. Dropping hundreds/thosands on a dress is a big thing and whatever you get you should be 100% happy with!

Honestly, you have to do what you have to do. I know you’ve caught some flak because of your long and angst-filled dress search but you haev to get married in a dress you love. I had bad dress regret and ended up selling my first one and buying a new one too, so I get it.
You are not the first or the last woman on Earth to have this issus, so don’t feel bad about it. Seriously. Go and search for a bee named Meliss. She had 3 wedding dresses and a long and arduous journey like yours.
By The Way, I always liked the Allure and the AA better on you than your DB dress. 🙂 I think you made the right choice.

@cherryblossomlove: from previous posts I have seen of yours you always go back to the Cinderella… I think that is your answer, everyone says your dress is the one you compare every other dress to 🙂 and yes you do look happy in the pic you have if that dress (I feel like a stalker hahaha but seriously I just love the dress posts and have seen yours pop up a few times :))
Have you tried it on again recently? Do you still love it?

What they said. Or perhaps think of looking around here or on other sites where newlyweds sell their gowns. You could get lucky… but I know that’d be like hitting the jackpot! Good luck.

I don’t mean to come off as brash, but you either need to get over it, or find a dress that you’ll actually like for more than a week. I agree with PPs, from what I remember of your posts, I think cinderella style dresses are your true love, go for that.

I know about the white DB fitted dress that you recently removed the detailing from, as well as the Allure gown order that you decided to cancel to save money for your reception. I also know about the tulle reception dress that you won from DB and planned to wear instead of the short white reception dress you had been considering. However, I haven’t heard about the black and white ballgown. Is this a dress you had chosen before any of the others but there was a problem with it and you had to switch to something else?

I think you should take some time away from dress shopping to clear your head. Every dress you choose is completely different from the other. I really thought you loved the allure. Either way, you are going to look great and your Fiance will think you look beautiful in anything you wear 🙂

Have you thought about having a replica of it made or do you not want to go that route?

It seems like all of the dresses that you have loved or bought have been so different from one another! It might be a good idea to step away from the dress buying process until you get a better sense of what direction you want to go in — just to save you some money and stress.
If that DB dress is your ideal dress, you should make a list of the things that it has that you want. Is it the black detailing? Is it the material? Is it the shape? By doing that, you will be able to narrow down dresses instead of going back and forth between different colors/materials/shapes.
