It frequently takes a bit for your body to regulate after coming off birth control.

But stop readi Google! I’ve never heard of someone not having a period for 2 years ๐Ÿ™‚ if it’s been 3 months, see your doctor and they will give you mess to start your period.

daniellemc :  How many months has it been since you stopped birth control?

As PP said, stop reading google. 2 years for a period to return? While possible, that’s is very, very rare.

You are about to start a journey when TTC. It may be quick or it may take a while. You need to remain calm, collected and sane throughout the process. Give your body a little time to get regulated. If after 3-4 months your period has not returned, then see your doctor.

Until then, seriously, calm down.

Congrats on starting your TTC journey ๐Ÿ™‚

For me it took two or three months for my period to regulate after coming off of BC. I also enlisted a naturopath who gave me a herbal cleanse to help regulate things (don’t quote me on what it was called). Everyone’s body is different, I wouldn’t get too worried just yet.

PS: Doctor Google is a quack!

I can soooo relate! I spent the same amount of time on the pill (I’ve been off for some time now.) And we are officially TTC for the first time.  I was so anxious for AF to come and go that she was a week late surprised

This TTC journey isn’t a joke and it hasn’t even started haha. Best wishes to you!

I just got off Nuva ring I was about 9 days late. I’m also full of acne and having a wonky period, the joys of being off bc lol. Last time I went off of it years ago it took me about three cycles to get a normal on time period.

I was on the pill for 10 years and came off it in May, I just got my first period this week. I went to my doctor after 3 months who did blood tests to check my hormones, etc. which all came back clear. I was told to come back again at the 6 months mark if nothing had happened.

I agree do not listen to Google. I am not TTC right now (im just engaged woohoo!) but I have several female relatives that were TTC and as soon as they calmed down (two got dogs) and just relaxed about life and the whole TTC process their periods came and quickly disappeared again ๐Ÿ™‚ I think it has alot to do with mindfulness and not putting pressure on ourselves.

Not to freak you out, but I stopped taking my BC last October. It has been a year and I still have not gotten a period. I’m not TTC anytime soon so I haven’t gone to a doctor about it but eventually I will. But contrary to what everyone else says, it does happen!

daniellemc :  I hear you! It took 72 days for me to get my period after I came off the pill which was BEYONE annoying especially when you want a baby like tomorrow. It will come though. If it takes longer than three months, you’ll need to give your doctor a call so they can check you out, but it will come back. Don’t stress ๐Ÿ™‚

daniellemc :  ya, I’m not even TTC yet so I’m debating if I wanna go back just so my skin won’t be a mess lol but I get weird other side effects so it’s balance. But ya don’t stress the period will come back I was starting to freak out at 3 days late.

After coming off BC it took me 47 days to get my first period, which was barely a period. I had 2-3 days of spotting. The next period after that took 59 days to arrive. It can take awhile for things to regulate.

I had my Mirena removed 4 months ago and only just got my first period!!!! I can totally relate it was so frustrating, and now I dont know if I will get my next one or skip even more. I guess time will tell, my time has probably run out due to my age but fingers crossed for you.
