Fiance and I purchased our wedding bands on Sunday, they asked to keep my E-Ring to size it with the band…..and it’s Thursday and I am still pressing my thumb against my ring finger out of habit and still get a moment of panic when I don’t feel it!
I don’t wear anything else on any of my fingers (or wrists, or anywhere) so am so not a jewelry person (until now apparently), but this addition seems to have me so lost when it’s not on!
They’re due to call me today, not much longer, but I wanted to know if anyone else out there feels as silly as I do without my ring!
My second problem is my wedding band is so pretty….I want to wear it now! I know…I must wait, but man oh man. My E-Ring band is very thin and my ring is a tad tight but works for me, with the wedding band being thin too, they together really made my finger look funny. Together were far too tight looking, both being sized to 7.5 and then I will have one more reason to countdown to the big day. They are giving me a ring guard to wear with E-Ring on its own now that it will be bigger until I have the wedding band on for good!
I want my sparkly ring back!

Me too!!! I had to take mine in for the same reason on Monday and I miss it like crazy!! 🙁

D’aw. You’re not pathetic. I went through that when I had to get my Engagement Ring resized. It was insanzy. I hated the few days I was without it. I didn’t feel “complete”. Hahaha. I hope you get it back soon!!

Oh, you are not pathetic! We sent mine out to be re-dipped before the wedding, and it was gone for three weeks! I got it back the day of my bachelorette party!

@RingPup: Aww your not pathetic, it just means you really love your ring!
I forgot my ring in my jewelry box when I took a shower, and an hour later when I didn’t feel my love on my finger I about had a heart attack.

I totally had that problem! I had a custom band made, so they needed my e-ring for like a week! Fiance gave me a claddagh I wear on my right ring finger, so I moved that over to my left when I was missing my e-ring. Then of course my right hand felt naked, but such is life.

You’re definitely not pathetic b/c I’m experiencing the same issue right now! We had to send my ering back to the manufacturing b/c they messed up my wedding band. The diamonds were different sizes on the band and ering so they wanted the ering back to make sure they get it right. Ugh. I’ve been without it for almost 2 weeks and my finger feels so naked! I have random freak out moments where I think I lost it. Should be back early next week though 🙂

I know exactly how you feel! One of the side stones fell out of my ring on Christmas Eve and was lost and now I am afraid to wear my ring because I don’t want the other diamond next to it to be knocked out as well since it is now exposed. My ring is an antique so we’ve been waiting to go to my family’s jewelry store in SC to get it fixed and we FINALLY have a weekend that works for everyone. I’ll hopefully have my ring back on my finger in a week. It has been almost 3 months without it and I’ve been wearing other rings on my left hand but it’s just not the same 🙁

Alright, well I went home for lunch and on my way back some perfect coincidence happened and they called to say they were ready!
Ring place is halfway between home and work, I was 2 mins away.
They cleaned my ring too, holy moly what a difference you forgot how sparkly it can be!! I had both on in the car, now I have to share!!

I can’t stand not having my ring! Infact, it is the exact reason I didn’t get a custom wedding band to match my ring. 3 weeks w/o it! I would go nuts!!!

I understand how you feel. I felt kind of “naked” when my ring was off being sized. I didn’t feel comfortable until it was back on my finger where it belonged. 🙂

Yeah, I had some serious “phantom ring” going on when my e-ring was being resized. Darling Husband thought it was hilarious. Jerk 😉

If you are pathetic then I am right there with you. When my e-ring was reset I couldn’t even sleep. Now that is bad.

Beautiful set! I’m the same way. I take my ring off when I need to apply hand lotion (this is literally the ONLY time I remove my ring) and I don’t like not having it on. My hand feels all light and floppy lol… even though my ring is not that big.
