- Wedding: July 2009
I purchased an Augusta Jones sheath dress for my July ’09 wedding and have recently had buyer’s remorse on getting a dress that is SO straight-to-the-floor. At the time, I didn’t want any "poof" but now I’m afraid my dress won’t look very bridal without it! Unfortunately, I cannot exchange it for another dress at this point. I was thinking it would look a little better if there was some fullness in the bottom of the dress – perhaps slightly more of a mermaid or fit and flare look. What are your thoughts on adding a crinoline slip (or having it sewn in by the alerations people) to give a little flare. It seems like there’s enough "give" in the material of the dress from the knees down.
Also, hard to tell in these pix because the sales lady didn’t flare out the front of the dress for me. I’m not even 5’3" so clearly it’s way too long!
Opinions welcome! Thanks so much! (also I am NOT having that flower at the waist on my dress! just in case it makes a difference!)
