He’s such a cutie! February is just around the corner. Maybe you could talk Darling Husband into getting him a week early?

@howtobeawife:  My friends asked the breeder to keep their puppy for an extra 1-2 weeks while they were out of town. The breeder had no problem with that especially because they had already put a deposit down. You could think about doing that.

Super adorable! If it’s a breeder I second nelya’s suggestion of asking them to hold him for you. If it’s a rescue, I would put your name in now because it could take some time to get approved/home visits etc…

Not to be a downer but he’s super cute so the odds are not really on your side on this one, someone will probably swoop in :(. That said, you’ll find your perfect puppy eventually!

ETA- If it’s a pet store, move on to a rescue ๐Ÿ™‚

@howtobeawife:  That’s too bad. Maybe you’ll get lucky and he won’t get picked up. We got lucky with our little guy. We had our eye on him for a month before getting him, but I was thinking more of a December date instead of October. Well, all of a sudden, Fiance (then bf) got a job in Raleigh, NC and was moving (getting settled), so I e-mailed the breeder and he was still available! He is such a great puppy too and I am so glad he was still available when I finally decided to get him. We love our little Bacon.

@howtobeawife:  Keep in mind, even if this sweet pup isn’t there when the two of you start looking for dogs there will ALWAYS be another dog!  When we were looking for our second pooch I fell in love with so many dogs, but I am so glad I waited until we were really ready and ended up with my dog!
