hmm, not sure 100% on this, but can you make a claim with your credit card company or pay pal? I know for AMEX if it’s stolen or breaks? within 6 months of purchase they will not make you pay for it.

My ex was shopping at the mall once, and he thought I was holding the bag of clothes he had just bought and I thought he was holding them, but neither of us had the bag when we got home. He just called AMEX told them he set the bag down and turned around for a second and it was gone and they removed the charge from his credit card.

Why does the post-office do this? If it’s an important looking package, not just an enveloppe with paper in it, why can’t they bring it back to the office and leave you with a pick it up notice? I am waiting for a box of dishrags (I bought them from an etsy seller in the U.S. I am in Canada) I hope they don’t leave it on my doorstep!

I just had the same thing happen to me, except with some nail polish I was expecting ($10 nail polish..my nails are breaking like crazy and I needed some good stuff), so I kind of know what you are going through with dealing with the post office. They are useless.

I called the main number for USPS and they opened up a claim for me. We’ll see what that does.
