I loved my wedding and planning it! I went thru a slight depression afterwards. It’s all the build up for that ONE day and then boom it’s over…I was sad ๐Ÿ™ I think it’s normal!

@Future Mrs K:  why dont you take courses in wedding planning.

that way you could get paid to do what you love.

start small advertiser on craigslist as a low budget wedding planner

and help people for a small price take some classes thats something you could do from home and on your spear time. my SIL is obsessed with weddings.

I am glad the planning is over, but I do wish I could do the day all over again!  That’s part of the reason I’m glad we had to wait to take our honeymoon.  The months after the wedding I had the honeymoon to look forward to, so I didn’t dwell on the wedding being over too much.

Yes!! Even though there were some rough parts of planning, I really do miss it and miss being “the bride.” I definitely have a case of the post wedding blues!

I am so obsessed with wedddings too. I miss mine so much. I am a Bridesmaid or Best Man two times this year so this is helping get through it

I cannot wait to do an anniversary shoot next year. I want to wear my dress again for it

There are so many themes, so many colors, so many different decorations, so many venues, so many…. Innocent

We can create 500 weddings for ourselves! But we only get ONE chance to do it… that’s where the problem is… what happens if I like rustic, country, greens and browns and romance, pink and whites? What happens if I like a green, blue peacock wedding, and a sandy beach theme?

I have only one wedding, so I am making my dress the “focal point” and go from there!

Hahaha oh my gosh, I feel EXACTLY the same!! It was just so much fun, I want to do it all over again! ๐Ÿ˜€

I am having a hard time moving on too, I think it’s because there are no weddings in my near future to get excited about. ๐Ÿ™ No friends or family members are engaged or having kids or anything. It’s like… Now what am I suppose to look forward to?!

Ya  I miss the planning and having something big to look forward to. Now I’m just diving into my work to stay busy but its not as fun lol. I know this is bad, but I still havent’ gotten my dress dry cleaned yet…it’s like my last to-do for the wedding and I keep procrastinating about it…I don’t want it to be fully over even though my wedding was about 6 months ago!

I know what you mean! I am considering myself lucky that I am one of the first of a lot of people I know to get married and can help lots of friends plan theirs. I’m an Maid/Matron of Honor and Bridesmaid or Best Man in the next two years and I am going to be the BEST at it!

In a way, YES I’d like to do it all over again, but only because it went by so quickly and the evening is a blur. If we’d had more money, it would have been nice to make a whole weekend day of it… but alas.

the planning part was stressful though! i wouldn’t really want to do it over again. I just count our blessings that our wedding paid for itself in the end. phew!

heaven forbid, if something every happens and we separate, and I got into another serious relationship as an older woman, I don’t thing I’d ever have a wedding like this one again. It truly was a once-in-a-lifetime event.
