psssh you and me both.   I am 5’5″ and weigh a whopping 190.  Freaking sucks.  I will join you on this!  My husband says he doesn’t care either, but honestly it is disgusting!!  My weakness is SODA!  What is yours?

Exercise is great, but first and foremost losing weight is about eating right. Maintenance is about exercise.

There are a hundred ways to “lose weight”, but at the end of the day it needs to be sustainable and make you happy otherwise you wont keep it up.

I suggest you read “You on a Diet” by Dr. Mehmet Oz. You can probably get it from your library.

Learn about nutrition and learn to cook healthy and TASTY foods. There are so many.

No one has ever gotten fat eating vegetables (non-root vegetables) so eat as many as you want of those! and eat small portions of whole grains. Everything else eat in moderation and learn to enjoy lots of spices and flavors.

Here is a good place to start and you can do it!

@Mary Green: i’ve been doing zumba. it’s working wonders. i’m 5’10 and 210 i was before starting zumba heavy then when i was 9 months pregnant so i decided to do somthing about it a zumba is so much fun even my son enjoys dancing with me lol. 3 months ago i was 238. i do 45 minutes a day roughily. 

i’ve also cut out snacks, don;t eat after 8pm and i’ve swapped most of my caffene drinks for water. i still need a cup of tea in the morning tho

@Mary Green:

2 pounds a week is a bit much for healthy weight loss. Maybe set your goal to be 1 pound a week. That way, you won’t be as likely to get discouraged if the weight loss is going too slowly.
