I bought that slip!  It was WAAAAY huge, I ended up taking triangular slices out of the front and sides to reduce the volume, but left the back alone to create more of a “fishtail” silhouette.

I ordered one similiar to the first one that you posted for my dress. I had my seamstress cut the bottom off and sew it in to the bottom of the dress so that I didn’t actually have to wear the skirt. She was also able to take a layer or 2 off because it was a little too much for my dress. Good Luck!!

@cherryblossomlove:  I got the one in the smaller pic, and it was HUGE!  But, if you have any suspicion at all that you want extra volune, you’d be better off to get the extender now, rather than try to make a second order.  Also, you can totally sell this slip on ebay afterwards, since they’re SO expensive new, a cheaper used one would be snapped up pretty quick.  Unfortunately, as I mentioned I sliced mine up (and dyed it pink to boot) so that’s not an option for me 🙂

can you return the extender if it doesnt work? I would just be careful adding more volume, our dress is such a thin material that it will only poof so much before the shape starts to look funky.
