Hi I really need some help. My wife and I wedding anniversary is comeing up in 1 week 3/10. It will be our 5th wedding anni. I want to in the worst way re-propse to my wife. My first proposal was BAD, I mean sitting in my car before going into a christmas party slid the ring part way on her finger asked and then put it all the way on her finger bad. I was VERY impatiant. I always dreamed of an amazing moment in New York City proposal for her and blew it. I bought her a new engagment ring as a suprise with a much better/bigger diamond and want to do this PERFECT.
I really need some ideas, im taking her to New York City for the weekend as a suprise and want it to be soo special for her I want to ask her to re-new our vows and give me the chance to spend the rest of my life making up to her for the things I have done during a 2 year period, long story short… doctor perscribed me pain pills i got addicted and did very stupid things for about 2 years and have been doing much better for the past year. If anyone girls or guys can PLEASE give me advice.
Thanks so much…
PS: I think I am going to do it while on a horse and carriage in central park but just dont really know what to say or exactly what to do im nervous lol..ANY IDEAS AT ALL are great..thanks

This is so sweet… Sorry I really can’t help you…. I have never been to NYC so I can’t really suggest anything, but best of luck to you!

This is the sweetest thing ever! I had a bad proposal and have been dreaming of of a re-proposal *sigh*. So my advice to you, think about what SHE loves. I know a NYC proposal is what you always dreamed about, but is that what she would want? Or would she want something intimate at home or something that the two of you already have special memories with. I only ask because my husband proposed in HIS dream way (which is in front of both our families) which actually is my worst nightmare (and he knew that).

My wife LOVES the city thats where we went for our honeymoon. She LOVES shopping and we have a very very nice italian rest we go to at least once a year. We are going there for dinner on our anniversary night.

So it on Sunday, as the weather is going to be bad on saturday.
I would recommend Central Park because the daffodils are starting to bloom

This sounds so sweet! I would just speak from the heart– tell her that the first time you proposed to her was rushed and you’ve always wanted to make it up to her, tell her how much she means to you and then open the box and she’ll be so excited about new jewelry that she won’t care what you said!

@bookworm88: Agreed with that. I was awaken very very early in the morning and was about to hit him till I saw the shinny ring.

This sounds really sweet! But… whatever you do, don’t do the horse and carriage in central park. My Fiance tried and it was an epic fail. The horse smelled horrible and there was hardly any room in the carriage. We ended up taking a walk in Central Park & he got down on one knee after I started complaining about how old it was. Not very romantic at all!

My mom did the rickshaw around central park a week and a half ago and said it was amazing.

This is very sweet. My SO told me he had always wanted to propose at our favorite restaurant in the meet packing district. But I think even just on a walk together would be so special.

They have helicopter rides over the city, it will be loud but you could do it on there. Also the grey bus tours up top you could have the driver stop on the manhattan bridge and do it in front of everyone. You would get a round of applause and everyone would make a big deal over her. Top of Rockefeller center is a spectacular place to do it and you could ask someone to film it for you. DONT do the empire state building or the carriage ride. They do smell sometimes and if it’s quiet after You propose, it could be awkward. Rockefeller center would be my choice!
