You’re seriously considering buying a fertility drug online from an unknown source….?

To me, reproduction is the one time in your life where things should really be 100% supervised by a doctor when drugs are involved.

Twin production is almost completely ruled by genetics, with some instances of double egg production getting induced by drugs or it being the first cycle after a miscarriage/abortion on a fluke. I think the only way to guarantee twins would be to get IVF and only implant two mbryos, but even that isn’t 100% – both may not take.

I think you should leave this to chance.

Have sex twice in a really short amount of time.

Once to the left, and one to the right.

This is a joke. Pretty sure there’s not much you can do……unless you ovulate off of both ovaries or an egg splits, I don’t think there’s much in the way of natural that you can do.

Other than fertility treatments/boosts, I’ve never heard of any other way. I personally don’t think it’s a great idea to screw with nature if you don’t have to. Your genes should give you enough of a shot.

I’m actually worried that we’ll have twins. They run in my family and I’ll almost definitely need help getting pregnant.

There’s nothing you can do but (1) IVF and/or (2) hope for twins.  I’d be really suspicious of buying drugs online.  Who knows what’s really in those pills?

(edited for additional thoughts)

Just FYI:  If the twins on your mother’s side are identical, I’m afraid that that doesn’t increase your chances of having twins.  (A single egg splitting just…happens.  No genetic predisposition required.)  If the twins are fraternal, there *might* be a chance that you inherited the “ovulating two eggs at a time” gene.

The only thing I’ve heard was from my midwife that has researched wild yam as natural bc. She said that in her research she found that cultures that have wild yam naturally in their diets tended to have more twins & triplets.

Otherwise I’d imagine that only with the help of medical technology & fertility treatments as pp already stated.

OP I really hope you are joking about buying fertility drugs online. That is something you should never do.  Talk to your doctor!

It is basically impossible to have a natural way of purposely making your body release two eggs or having an egg split…that is one part of your body that you have zero control over without going to a way extreme medical intervention like IVF, that isn’t something you do just because you want twins!

@mwitter80:  you gotta give equal love to each little ovary!

This post is amusing…….the only thing I can think of is that if it runs in your family, you might have a chance. I grew up on a dairy……..we had a couple cow families that twins ran in, and I can think of three cows that naturally had twins on their own twice – and the non-twin daughter of one of the three even had triplets! I think there is actually a gene associated with multiple ovulation, so if you were really serious, maybe you could get tested to see if you carry it.

@runsyellowlites:  I’ve heard the same thing about wild yams! Worth a try!
