I think its very feminine! I prefer solitaires too, and the channel set diamonds give it an extra “pop” that most solitaires don’t have. 🙂

I don’t think you should change it a bit, OP. Honestly, I clicked on this link because I’m not a huge fan of channel-set rings and I was all prepared to be like, ew gross. But your ring is really beautiful and has perfect proportions. I love it!

almostmrsconnell:  I love the setting but I think that thinning it will make it look even better. I think the diamonds will shine in a slightly more delicate setting. Beautiful!

It’s very pretty and I like the way it pinches in either side of your diamond.

It’s perfect the way it is! That’s the exact band I want.

It looks fine the way it is- suits the stone and your finger.  How would you thin it?  The only way I can think of is to have the bench jeweler grind it down which is a waste of gold and could compromise the structural integrity of the channel set. Unless you meant to get a different ring.

almostmrsconnell:  I usually don’t like channel set rings but your ring is gorgeous! Very elegant. It wouldn’t hurt to thin it down (I love thin bands!) but it’s not necessary.

To be completely honest, I really do not like channel set. I think your center diamond would be complimented so much better in a solitaire or pave’ setting.

almostmrsconnell:  no! Actually from a small family owner jeweler near  us! The black diamonds were added custom 🙂 I want to get a band made to match but opposite!!
