@AmyDee: You can do it!  That happens to me too — I’ll be doing real well then I get sick or super busy at work and don’t workout for awhile then feel like its so hard to start back up again. 

Since your trip starts like, tomorrow (?), I’d say just try to eat better to feel better, and workout, not to tone up quick, but to feel better also.  If anything, arms and thighs seem to always tone up quick for me.  Good luck!!

Don’t worry.  Continue to eat healthy and you can start again in a couple of days.  Sometimes when we get sick, our mind thinks we’re ready but our body tells us otherwise.  Here’s my suggestion:

Get outside and do some walking or cycling.  Do light weight lifting every other day.

Stay on your healthy diet.

A healthy lifestyle is always 2 prong: diet and exercise.

Don’t get down on yourself, we’ve all been there.  I try to focus on how good I feel about myself when I do workout regularly because honestly, beyond feeling more confident in my body, I have more energy and I’m just a happier person overall.  Yeah, sometimes the last thing I want to do is go workout, but if I remind myself how good I’ll feel afterwards I can usually get myself to do it.

And it doesn’t matter if you’re going to be in a bikini in 2 days, 2 weeks, or 2 months; you should make exercise part of your daily life because it’s good for you (both mentally and physically) not for an upcoming event!
