Omg, I literally thought you were the model. You look amazing in that dress!
I bought my dress last week but unfortunately, I was ill-prepared and didn’t bring a camera – d’oh! Still managed to get a few shots and I’m excited to finally share my dress on the Bee! Hope my Fiance doesn’t find this ’til after the wedding…
Roz La Kelin (Alice): On the model
… And on me! I added a belt to give the dress just a liiiittle extra sparkle and will be wearing it with a cathedral length gown. 🙂 The bit of lace around the bodice will be much stiffer like the model’s as well.

I bought my dress yesterday so now I can participate! I would’ve never picked it based on the model photos–it looks waaay better in person.

Proof than men like looking at real women: My Fiance asks me what I’m looking at here on the bee. I tell him we’re comparing photos to show how different they look on models vs normal people. My Fiance is one of those people who says exactly what he’s thinkng with no filter pretty much all the time. I show him one of the models: he goes “mmmm…okay..(frowning)…she looks like a man.” Then I show him the real bride wearing the same dress with awesome curves and his eyes pop out of his head. He goes ” Woah! Is that the same dress!?” Then he turns red, gives me a little smile and asks “Is that what your dress looks like?” (Super hopefully). I laughed so hard.

I don’t really get how putting models down by saying they look like men, make you or your fiancé feel better? They are REAL women too. Didn’t know a specific size made a woman more womanly.

My Fiance says the same thing about them looking like men. I asked him why on earth he would think that and he said “Because they look so serious. No emotion at all. I like when women smile” I agree, they are women too and don’t need to be put down at all. I also believe they are heavily photoshoped and would look “less manly” if they showed any expression.

I love this thread! I bought my dress before seeing it on the model, and I’m glad I did! I would never have tried it on based on this picture!

Thank you!! It was tough because my mom and sister weren’t crazy about it so it made me doubt my dress – in the end I’m happy I went with the one that said “me” to me 🙂 Your dress is stunning also and I love that you added the belt for a pop of sparkle and drama! Great choice!!
