I feel your pain my best friend of 22 years is getting married in July and I was supposed to be the maid of honor. I finally got tired of her not answering my phone calls. So I texted to ask what was up her response was that we had grown apart and that if I didn’t want to be in her wedding I didn’t have to be and that she would reimburse me for the dress. So she politely kicked me out of the wedding after a year of her acting like a jerk towards me and my wedding which was in March I was more than happy to step down. It’s only been recent that she has acted this way in the last year since this guy came along she is a different person I don’t know her anymore that’s for sure! So I’m very sorry for the way you were treated I know the struggle.

All i can say is this is horrible.. and weddings tend to bring out the worst in people.. and also the truth. I guess it’s better that you see how she values your friendship now rather than later.. if you can’t get the money back is there any way you can ever wear the dress again? to another wedding, or have it altered to be less bridesmaidy? i say if you can’t get the money take the loss, and walk away with a lesson that this person isn’t worth your time.

I think you may be able to sue her in small claims court for the dress. Might be good to add this to her pile for the terrible behaviour.  But they likely need the dress to replace you last min. And sounds like she would flip to have an eleven number of attendants. I would stick to your guns and say its my dress I paid for it. If you want it back then come get it with cash in hand otherwise I’ll drop it off at my convenience but no payment no dress.

You haven’t lost anything. Scratch this girl off of your friend list. I feel for the groom who is marrying this woman.
