I was literally right down the street visiting my Future In-Laws in AZ when the gunman shot the congreswoman, the judge, and all the other innocent people. This is such a scary, horrible, and senseless thing. I may not have 100% agreed with her politics but that is never an excuse to try to kill someone! I just don’t understand things like this…

OMG! I’m so glad you are okay! The saddest part of it all is the 9 year old little girl who was killed. So pointless. 🙁

Yeah, it’s really awful that people think they can kill someone just b/c they disagree with their politics. My thoughts are with those who were killed and their families!

I agree, its a sad event, to say the least. I’m glad you and your family are okay since it sounds like he was shooting anything and everything.
Word of caution: Don’t read the forums on news sites pertaining to this event. They are FILLED with hate, moreso than usual.

@kfricke89: Oh no! Glad you’re ok. I saw this on MSN as it flashed up as it returned to the homepage after I logged out of my hotmail and read it out to Fiance. Thoughts with the families.

Oh my word… it’s so terrible to be so close to tragedies like this! I am so glad you and your family are ok!

From what we’ve learned about the shooter, he is a whack job. He sounds quite psychotic. I wouldn’t be too quick to assume this is political.

This happened right down the street from my boyfriend’s parents and younger brother. We called them and they were clueless as to what had happened. They saw all the cop cars and ambulances but went on about their day. So scary and horrifying. No idea why there is so much hate in this country and in the world. My heart and prayers go out to the victims, the families and the people of Tucson.

@sassy411: The MSN article I read said that she was taking away his personal rights in a youtube video and it was political FOR HIM. He is a nutjob. I’m not saying he’s representing a particular party.
If the MSN article is incorrect, then I’m wrong.
EDIT: I wanted to correct what I said, MSN only said this ‘”I know who’s listening: Government Officials, and the People,” Loughner wrote. “Nearly all the people, who don’t know this accurate information of a new currency, aren’t aware of mind control and brainwash methods. If I have my civil rights, then this message wouldn’t have happen (sic).”‘ He was clearly ill.
