Ugh I don’t know about anyone else but I’m fairly new to the world of weddings and fashion I guess too but here I come to find I know even less than I thought I knew and have been saying (tulle) wrong for over a month! …Now I’m just curious as to why no one felt the need to clue me in on how to pronounce it, especially my friends. I feel like a fool lol. I’m sure I’m saying other things wrong too and I don’t even know it… I’m scared to talk about wedding stuff in person now lol

lol How were you saying it? If it makes you feel better, when I first started waitressing in high school, I pronounced Dos Equis wrong for a few weeks.

@HappilyEverAfter54: Maybe your friends thought THEY were the ones saying it wrong after you pronounced it the wrong way. lol

I was saying ‘tooly’ or tool-ee? Does that make sense… Up until the dress lady kept saying ‘tool’ and I put 2 and 2 together…. I felt my face turn red.

I did the same thing! Didn’t pronounce it like you did but still…my mum was laughing pretty hard at me haha

I always say it “tull” (rhymes with lull). Even though I know the correct pronunciation, I still like tull better!

Don’t worry, I STILL don’t know what a bustle is… fail
I think that everyone naturally expects you to know everything abou weddings and etiquette the second after the proposal. There’s so many different things to know. I bet you anything the people you said “tooley” to were probably like, “wow, I’ve been saying tulle wrong this whole time”. heehee
