I love that you took the sash away. I’d love a little blingy belt (thin, just enough to cover the seam) but that satin thing made your dress look cheaper. So much better without.

@BlondeBee:  +1

I think a thin belt would really be flattering.  In this photo, it also seems like it’s pulled up higher at the top, which doesn’t make you look so unbalanced.

There are so many great skinny belts.  I’ve actually seen some gorgeous ones on Etsy.

I think it needs a belt as well — that will really help pull in the wasit area, make it even moe flattering.  The dress is gorgeous BTW!

All that’s important is that you love it.

However, I actually liked the “before” better. You’re making so many changes though, that it’s hard to know what the final result will look like. I’m glad you’ll be adding another sash — I didn’t love the first sash, but that look gives your waist some definition, which is the main problem with this style on you. I think you have the right idea — whatever you can do to make it look like you’re lowering the waist. The place it hits you now is cutting you off.

Also, I really like the way the back of the dress drapes without the crinoline. You didn’t give us a back shot with the crinoline, but I’m afraid that the extra poofiness will take away that effect.

It looks amazing on you. I don’t know who told you this – but its gorgeous!

I think part of might be your bodylanguage in the dress? you aren’t standing ‘happy’ ? Maybe you could take a few pics standing straight and with your shoulders back and smile 🙂

That dress with a thin belt and a sweetheart neckline will be BEAUTIFUL!! Great ideas on changes, that will help give it that extra “umph” that will really make it stand out!

I love the  back on you, and I think a belt would be a great way to add a little umph.  Also as PP said a sweatheart neckline would be beautiful.  You look great in this dress!! It just needs a little bling.

I think it looks a lot better! The crinoline is really helping and I’m glad you got rid of the sash — a sweetheart and a thinner belt will really bring it to another level.

(And PS — It was a lovely dress before, too. I just really like the changes!)

I think adding a sweetheart neckline will make all the difference!

I love this dress as is! I think all your changes sound great, thw only one for me is the v back – not a fan, but that is my opinion. I really love your dress though, good job!
