What a lovely, tolerant, accepting and educated woman! ( I’m writing in my sarcasm font)

Yikes, that sounds like a real pleasant lady.  Unfortunately, with the election coming up, it seems like there’s a lot more of this kind of language.  it’s sad how much hateful name-calling’s going on from both sides.

Yuck. My mom was stay-at-home and has a PhD, so eff that! Moms are awesome no matter what they do, people like that have way too much time on their hands if that’s what they get all concerned about.

@Chelsea646:  The comment that woman made drips with irony! But do you think she sees it? My guess is, no.

You know…I never really believed people viewed SAHM’s like this until I took my son to a doctor’s appt when he was 1 1/2.  He HATES doctors and was screaming and screaming and the pediatrician was so rude to me and spoke to me as if I were uneducated.  I was really shocked.  I had never experienced this before.  I went to one of the top colleges in VA, am working on a second master’s degree and was accepted to law school (turned it down).  Needless to say, I never went back to her again.  I think it’s horrible that people still think this of SAHM’s. The majority of SAHM’s I know (my friends and others) are all very bright women, both formally educated and those that are not formally educated (but still very smart).  That is just terrible.

That lady doesn’t know what she’s talking about. My mom was a stay at home mom; she homeschooled all of us (4) and ran my dad’s business. Being a mom is the most difficult job in the world, but is also the most rewarding (that includes dads too).

WHAT?! The only two stay at home moms I personally know closely have MAs and are very well-educated. One will vote for Romney and one definitely won’t, but being rascist or uneducated has nothing to do with it.

She’s stupid.  And you can’t fix stupid.

You just have to move along.   People like that don’t change.

Wow! I know the reason these sorta statement pisses us off is because it’s not just her-it’s a big percentage if not the majority. So sad that some people are so wrapped up in being what society tells the is the “best” way to be, that they don’t see what’s right in front of them. A loving home is an accomplishment just as much as any other achievement in life.
