…a fiancee and a diamond ring!! I’m engaged!! My wonderful man took me to a park overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan skyline, where he gave me the ‘Golden ticket’ I’d made for him for Valentine’s Day (entitles the bearer to anything they wish) and said he’d like to redeem it. Then he pulled out a ring box and asked if I would marry him, to which I replied ‘Of course!’ Couldn’t say no, he’d used his golden ticket!! 😉
Here’s a ring pic! It’s a 0.5 ct brilliant cut diamond that was my grandmother’s, so it has a great deal of love and sentimental value behind it. He designed the setting himself, an 18ct white gold knife edge band with a six claw low Tiffany setting. It is absolutely perfect and I am so incredibly in love with it and the man who gave it to me 🙂 sorry about the huge pic!!
Thank you SO much to all the bees who handheld and reassured me throughout my waiting period. I really couldn’t have got through it without you. To those still waiting, be encouraged, it is COMPLETELY worth it. What I’ve learnt, enjoy the time you have with your other half because in the end it’s not about the ring, it’s about being able to spend forever with the love of your life 🙂
