Ok so I’ve previously posted about needing to find my dress in one trip due to a surgery but I decided to postpone the surgery a little bit to have plenty of time to find a dress before. Anyways… I went shopping and found two dresses that I love! In my very first trip! I tried on probably 10 dresses but really liked the two.
The first one is Christos, named Zoe. I don’t have a picture of the back because it didn’t fit so the clamps messed it up, but it’s really pretty. I love how different and “fun” this dress is.
The second dress is also Christos, called Claudia. I LOVE how flattering it is. At first I thought it was a little bit low cut for me, but I’ve become comfortable with it.
I really like both dresses a lot and don’t really have a favorite between the two.. However, I do have an appointment to try on Claire Pettibone dresses next week. I love so many of them online, but who knows how they’ll look on/how I’ll feel about them on. What I don’t want is to like 10 dresses and have to choose between them, it’s hard enought trying to decide between these two! I tend to fall in love with dresses easily haha.
Should I call it quits on the dress hunt and choose between these two? Or should I keep looking?

Both of those dresses are AMAZING! I think if you want to keep looking, you should. But, the more you try on, the more confusing it can get. Also, once you decide on your dress, I recommend NOT looking at dresses anymore. It just confuses things.
The first dress looks more whimsical and romantic. The second dress looks more formal and ‘bridal.’ I would go with #2, but maybe it will depend on your wedding theme. Best of luck!

i love the top of #1, not sure about the bottom. the dress does look stunning on you.

I LOVE the first one on you!! The side view is also very lovely, the dress is very flattering on you! Christos nailed this dress!!
The second one looks well, rather ordinary… like I’ve seen every bridal company do a design very similar to that one…. I feel that it is just not as special as the 1st dress. You look fine in it, it just does nothing for me personally.
I would keep looking but keep the first dress as a Top Choice, Front Runner for now. Also, try it on again after trying on other dresses, to be sure it is the one you like best!

@AllieANT: I love love love the Zoe! It’s unique, flattering, romantic, and an overall stunning gown. If you stopped looking now and chose this dress, I wouldn’t blame you at all.
However, I’m also a fan of taking a step back from a dress (or two or three) that you might love and trying on some others. You don’t have to overwhelm yourself, but I think you’ll be less likely to experience the dreaded dress regret if you spend a little more time looking and then focus on any top contenders. I’d probably keep the appointment you have scheduled for next week, try on some more gowns, and then take a few days to compare the dresses you like most. (You can always come back to the Bee with more pictures and polls … You know we love that!)
I know some people would argue that you should stop looking immediately if you think you may have found “the one,” but it doesn’t really sound as though you have. My experience was finding “the one” at the second bridal boutique but going on to two others later in the week to try on more gowns just to be sure. I found three dresses I really liked and could imagine myself getting married in, but my mind kept wandering back to the dress that gave me “that moment.” I decided to make a second appointment at that store to try it on again, and when I put it on, I knew it was the right one for me. Everyone’s experience is different, but I recommend doing something like that so you’re not feeling pressured, rushed, or like you’re making a major purchase based solely on your emotions in that moment.

I would keep the first one as a front runner, but also keep looking. Claire Pettibone’s dresses are gorgeous.

@AllieANT: I love them both on you.* Wow. I prefer #1 because of the unique, beautiful details and the cool tulle godet skirt (I can’t resist beautiful godets). #2 is gorgeous, as well, and that lace is so delicate and exquisite.
I agree with PPs that you should go ahead and try on more dresses. I think you should keep looking until you find a dress that you have no reservations about. Your figure is going to look amazing in CP, btw.
*Though I will add, that giant belt is doing you no favours since it just chops your figure in half and detracts from both dresses. If you’re set on wearing a sash, you should look into more delicate shapes and styles.

@AllieANT: out of those two I do prefer the first one, it looks beautiful on you…
however if it was me I’d wait to try on the CP dresses before deciding 😉

Omg the first one – Zoe – wow. It’s breathtaking.

I love #1 if it fits with your wedding look.

I think the first one is lovely and whimsical and if the second one made you feel uncomfortable at all then that’s likely all you’ll be able to think about next June, no matter how well it’s altered.

Both dresses are gorgeous BUT #1 is just so unique and beautiful, that’s my vote.

First off, you look AMAZING in both.
I picked #2, but I love #1.
I think #1 would be gorgeous with hair up and no veil but if you want hair down and a veil I would go for #2

No vote from me, because I can’t decide! They’re both beautiful!

Let me start off by saying that both dresses look absolutely fantastic on you and you can’t really go wrong with either. That being said, I do like the first dress a little more. I think it is a but more fun and sweet. And I find it is unique. So that’s my vote 🙂
