I have one!

I have an appointment at Sephora on Friday to get help picking out makeup for my wedding.  She suggested I let her just do a trial on me so we can see what the different products look like on me.  She said I would have to purchase $50 in product (which I would easily spend anyway).

Am I supposed to tip her?  If so, how much?

Oooh, I have so many! My biggest one is:fake eyelashes. What brand would you recommend? I really wanted to buy a set from Smoke & Mirrors but shipping to Canada is $35, and that ain;t happening for a set of $12 eyelashes.

What is your best make up advice for a bride that easily blushes?

what’s your favorite foundation? I love MAC and wished Sephora sold it!

@jenjen96:  where can i get those? any specfic type, or do they just have the one kind?

I have never worn them before, so I have no clue what to look for.

Best (gradual or not) self tanner? That doesn’t turn you orange?

I see someone mentioned MAC. I was going to ask why Sephora doesn’t sell it, but I’m presuming that’s actually MAC’s decision not to be there and not Sephora’s. Do you know?

Here’s another question, is DiorShow still the top-rated Mascara? I love that, and DiorShow Iconic. However, some of the bees enticed me into buying Benefit’s “They’re Real,” and I like that, too. How would you rank those three, based on your experience?

I have a non-wedding related question, and I don’t want it to come across as rude at all. Please don’t take it the wrong way, I know not all stores are the same.

How come when I go into Sephora I get ignored unless I’m dressed up fancy? Is there some sort of policy about approaching certain customers? I absolutely LOVE Sephora, but now I just order online because when I go in the store I am completely ignored.

@sara_tiara:  I get mine at Sephora.  I told sales rep that i wanted something natural and pointed me some.

@Lyndzo:  I don’t think it has anything to do with being dressed up. Their stores are ALWAYS understaffed. I was in one on Saturday, dressed up from work and couldn’t get anyone to help me.

@sara_tiara:  Sephora carries the MUFE brand so they should have the lashes.

OP, can you recommend a good setting spray?

@Ms. Martian:  That could be it sometimes at my location (Square 1 in Mississauga) but other times it’s been pretty quiet. I do love ordering online though, I could probably go broke if I ordered everything I want LOL

@Lyndzo:  That’s exactly where I was 🙂 I find it’s only quiet during the day on weekdays, otherwise it’s a zoo in there. I would order online too but I always want to try out whatever I’m buying first.
