I see you recommend MUFE aqua eye liners…do they work well on the waterline tool? I have tried urban decay’s 24 7 liner, but it stays on for maybe 30 minutes. I don’t expect liner to stay on there all day, but at least a couple hours. For the bottom waterline, can you recommend any specific light color liners? White looks too stark against my very thick and dark lashes.

My SO does amatuer theatre, and he had a huge problem with sweating off his make up onstage. A brand called Mehron makes an antiperspirant liquid that he dabs on like toner, and he doesn’t sweat a drop off at all when he uses it. Probably not great for everyday, but perfect for a wedding. You might have luck with brands like Ben Nye and Kryolan as well.

You have touched on this briefly, but what are your best recommendations for blackheads? I mostly get them on my nose.
Also, I have small eyes and they seem quite hooded? (not much area between my lashes and brows) so dark eye makeup makes my eyes smaller but I love dark/smokey/dramatic eyes for going out. Any suggestions?!
Thanks for the advice!

I had a makeup trial at Sephora on Friday and was pretty disappointed. The makeup artist new that I had to purchase the makeup used for my wedding day but still used THREE different eyeshadow palettes and FOUR different eyeliners. It seemed like a marketing scheme and she was really pushy about products. =(
I do have a question though. I told her I heard great things about MFHD but she completely ignored it and used Nars Sheer Glow foundation. I bought it because that is what she used on me but have never heard of it before, Is it good wedding makeup? Why would she choose that over MFHD?

Thank you so much for this. I have a few questions. I am African and I have good skin. Hence, I hardly wear make up. However, as a lady in my 30’s, I really should start looking after my skin more and having a night time routine. I usually wash with Aveeno and use a moisturizer and that’s it. I wear sun screen sometimes but I hardly ever ever go out under the sun. I don’t drink, smoke or tan. I’d love to continue having good skin so any step by step help would be appreciated.
Also, I am horrible at putting on make up. I went and bought the Sonia Kashuk brand brushes you recommended earlier. Only thing is, I don’t know how to use make up that well. What with the foundation brush and powder brush and primer etc. Do you know a set of youtube videos that can help? Thank you so much.

NARS Sheer Glow is super popular too actually, a lot of people (including myself!) prefer it over MUFE HD, you made a very good choice don’t worry!

Do you have a face wash or scrub you would recommend for combination skin?
Also, how do you do the ‘smokey eyes’ without looking like a hooker? :/
What’s the best lightweight moisturizer for combination skin?
Do you have a good lightweight foundation that conceals shine?

I have been searching for sooo long for the perfect matte red lipstick to wear for my wedding in May! I really want to know what the top picks are in your opinion. I want a nice bold matte red lip colour that will last a through kissing my hubby’s face and drinking lots of champagne without transfering or smudging. Please let me know what your recommendations are!
