Thanks! I love it too. It was originally purchased to be my ‘something blue.’ I didnt get to have a wedding, so that didnt happen, LOL

Usually they look so black in all lights – but this was in the kitchen and it was sunny (these are my v-day flowers – the idea was from an old thread)
Anyways – the sapphires are not native to the ring and were added in at my FI’s request – and so because of this they actually two different cuts. 🙂 I like that its unique 🙂 You can tell if you look close that the faces are diff sizes.

Was your ring custom? It is stunning! The detailing is excellent and looks really nice with your sapphire. It has a vintage look to it which I love. Thank you!
I see the difference in the cuts but they go really well with the rest of the ring. Is your center stone a diamond or white sapphire? They have like a deep indigo to them. Your ring is beautiful. Thank you for sharing!

Yes it was custom; I designed it myself, and had it made from gold and diamonds from three rings of my grandmother’s, and mother’s. FW wanted a Victorian style ring.

Not sure if this really qualifies, but it is blue topaz and may give you an idea of colour if nothing else. The necklace was from my SO.

Its a diamond – though only because it was my Fi’s choice. I was dying for a pink morganite and rose gold ring (about 500 bucks worth) – but he is one of those ‘only a diamon for my girl’ type guys. I love it now though 🙂
PS Sapphire is my birthstone 🙂

Mine is a Ceylon Sapphire. It’s a deep rich blue under the sun and bright lights. When it’s not too bright, it’s almost see through. It’s interesting and hard to describe.

The color of your ring is stunning!

Thank you, I love it. I love that it changes, like I mentioned it’s a deep rich blue most of the time, but under certain lighting it’s see through/light blue. I’ve never seen anything like it. The jeweler mentioned that Ceylon Sapphires have that characteristic. From what I’ve read online, I think the transparency’s a good thing… it has less imperfections.

@MyrtletheTurtle: I don’t know if this counts, but I incorperated sapphires in my bands…

Thank you for sharing. I like pears a lot and the pendant is so pretty.
Your ring is stunning! The blue is beautiful. Thank you!
Awesome ring! I love it. The bands are so delicate and pretty along with the e ring and the sapphires give a beautiful contrast. Thank you!
