I like the lace…but I’m wearing a lace Casablanca myself, so I might be a tad bit biased! haha!

Seriously, the lace is timeless. The style is classic, and not dated at all. It’s a new designer dress–how can it look dated???? Because of the clean lines, I think decades from now it will still look classic in the pictures.

The satin is beautiful… However, I have a feeling that this is a style that will be one that you’ll be able to say oh yeah that’s from around 2010. Whenever someone says something is modern looking, that tells me it won’t look modern in a few years.

Lace FTW!  I am biased here too, I love lace and will mostly likely have a lace dress.  Sensual, classic, romantic, and ladylike all in one, that’s how I see lace.  I agree with the others who say that the second dress is a lot like all the other dresses out there now. Pretty but doesn’t say “unique”.

It depends on your peronality too.  I’m a “lace” type of woman and have been all my life.  Love all things dreamy and romantic. 🙂

I’m thinking if I didnt try on the exact lace dress, I tried on another dress very similar to it..from Casablanca…I don’t think it looks dated. I think you look great in the lace dress. However, you should pick the one that makes you feel happy and not have to ask other’s opinion…..

They are both beautiful, and both look beautiful on you! I voted for the satin, but mostly because I prefer satin….otherwise I can’t say I prefer one over the other, both are awesome on you!

When you go back to buy that lace dress ;), tell the salon employee to SHOVE IT.  I think the lace dress is particularly beautiful, romantic, and much more timeless than the second dress, which looks very trendy to me.  I especially love the train on the lace dress.  Gorgeous!

Dated??? PLEASE!!!! That sales woman doesn’t know what she’s talking about!! I love the lace dress on you. It hugs your body in a way that makes it look like that dress was made for you. Like other people have said, lace is timeless, not dated. Unless you’re talking about a doily. Wink And I don’t think you would have ever thought it looked dated had that woman not said that. The train of that dress is gorgous and the comfort aspect of that dress is a HUGE bonus!! And this is coming from a bride who loves satin, maggie sottero, AND the Adorae gown!! Hahahahaha! On you they both look amazing. But I love the Casablanca number on you the most…it just works.

I think the satin just lifts you–there’s something about it that makes you shine (or it could be the shininess of the satin itself, hehehe) and look very fresh and modern.

However, your smile is bigger in the lace dress, so perhaps you love it more… in which case, go with the lace!

You look gorgeous in both regardless, so you can’t make a wrong choice. It’s more about what sort of feel you want for your wedding. If very romantic, then the lace. If slightly more upbeat or elegant, the satin would be better.
