Wow. That guy sounds like a real winner. Why is he still working for FedEx!? Jeesh.

Have you filed any claims with FedEx? I don’t know how long you have to claim it, but I would try and claim both misdeliveries.

Yeah, if it requires a signature, and there isn’t one, you can file a claim with FedEx and it’s their fault.

WTF??  How hard is it to deliver a package to the correct street number on the correct street?  Where do they find these buffons?

FedEx seems to be the worst about this.  I used to work in shipping for an online retail company.  Sure, UPS screwed up occastionally, but it was almost always failry easy to fix.  FedEx was another story.  The local driver who did pickups couldn’t even find our shipping dock after being there multiple times.  I’m pretty sure that he wouldn’t have been able to find his own ass with a map and a flashlight.  And they managed to screw up every. single. shipment.  Given the option, I’d take the Pony Express over FedEx…

Oh no! Mail delivery errors are the most frustrating things in the world, right? Especially because this is the second time it’s happened! Can you complain to the company?

Oh absolutely complain to FedEx! We just had some major issues with a company here who actually lied about attempted deliveries, wanted to charge us for “missing” them, etc and then completely destroying the thing when it finally came two weeks later. My Fiance complained to the customer service dept of the company we bought from (they use this separate shipping company) and we got a call back saying they had fired the guy. So, maybe you’d never have to deal with your problem FedEx guy again!

Seriously, it’s like this with our FedEx guy and our part time USPS lady. They NEVER try to deliver anything to us (FI is home during the day). They just leave a note at the door and take the package to the leasing office. We get the Sunday paper…except that they don’t deliver it to the third floor, just the first and second. Lazy fuckers.

@kansas_nurse:   I’m not a fan of fedex. They deliver our paychecks at work. One time, and remember the address is  blank blank Restuant, town name , PA. They were sent to some guys HOUSE in oregon!  Lucky the guy sent them to us but still!!

My hate is reserved for UPS. In my city, they refuse to do more than one attempt, so if you aren’t home (or, as usually happens, they don’t ring the bell…) they leave a note saying final notice, and you have to go off to the middle of nowhere, while the online tracking says that they’ll come again the next day. We’ve actually five times had them re-direct delivery before it’s out on the truck in order to be delivered to my work address and the people on the phone will insist it’s done, and sure enough, I come home and find a final notice on my door. They also refuse to do safe drop in apartment buildings here as well, so there’s just no winning. I won’t order from a place if they only offer UPS, as whatever I’m buying will NEVER be worth the amount of hassle.
