If thats the only thing he’s asked for, i’d indulge him and try to make it work. It’s his day, too. 

Being said, i’ve been to weddings with the screens, ice sculptures and the entire shebang – and it’s not my personal style at all, in addition to being generally a very high expense.

Personally I think an ice bar or sculpture would be more worth the cost and more interesting to your guests than DJ screens.  I agree, if this is the only thing your FI’s actually taken an interest in, you may as well look into it 🙂

You can make the ice for a specific purpose- my friend’s uncle owns a company here in maryland, and does things like a monogram ice luge or a shrimp table. Here is is website with some fun ideas- it’s high expense but they are awesome…

haha- here is a shrimp table– much cheaper than the whole bar. the screens sound really cool too! a smaller ice piece may work well–
