We got engaged last August, my fiance wanted NOTHING to do with the planning. It was basically a tell me where you are looking and what you are thinking and Ill probably say do what you want type of thing. A month after we got engaged we booked our DJ. I really wanted this radio personality DJ from Boston so I booked him right away, I didnt book his cheapest package but didnt book the most expensive either. The most expensive came with the “Ultimate Plasma Video Party” that included 2 plasma screens that played videos of songs playing along with pictures of people throughout the night and also slideshows that I could give to him. I didnt go with this package because I didnt think that was worth an additional $1700. I told my fiance about it before I booked and he agreed. Fast forward 13 months……
Now my fiance wants those screens, wont stop talking about them and is insistant that we have them. And on top of it wants an ice bar or sculpture! I swear my fiance was abducted by aliens and something else replaced his body! lol
Ive never been to a wedding with these screens, I know people who have and said they were pretty nice and I have been to a wedding with an ice bar and sculptures and always thought they were so pretty.
Now about my wedding, we are getting married in a ballroom of a hotel, we are having a piano man play for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Our wedding is extended an extra hour with open bar the whole night. We also have a photo booth and an extremely large candy bar. If we were to add the ice bar or those screens do you think it will be too much going on? Has anyone ever been to a wedding that has had any of these things and what were your opinions on them?
My fiance hasnt asked for much, well anything at all, during this whole process so now that hes actually expressing interest in something, no matter how random it is, I feel like I should at least look into it for him.
