@ames12708:  The key word there was “defend’ when no one is “attacking”

@alicia1745:  Agree.

OP, reading over your questions, I’m concerned that some of them are too easy. So if your bingo generator gives me a card that has five “gimmes” in a row, I yell Bingo twenty seconds after the game even starts! So perhaps you should rethink questions like “What does the bride do for a job” and “what is the wedding date?” since these seem like things anyone who has met you before or who is invited to the wedding ought to know. If the point is to get people talking, then you’re better off with questions that are harder to answer or more obscure. Like instead of “does the groom have siblings?” make them fill in the siblings’ names. Otherwise, the game will be over in the blink of an eye.

Yikes.   @ames12708 take a deep breath, pour yourself a mid-afternoon glass of wine, and please try to understand that absolutely no one was criticizing your game, they were all merely giving suggestions.

Personally, I like the idea of playing “Find someone who…” for the ice breaker, and then doing a Couples Trivia Bingo as another game with the questions about you and your Fiance.

Do you have enough time to play 2 games?

@ames12708:  not to stir the pot, but even if every card has at least one “find someone who..” option, doesn’t bingo say that you only have to get a line? if someone knows you really well, they can possibly fill in that line without talking to anyone, say if they know your wedding date, when you met, shoe size, etc.

i think it’s a great idea to do an icebreaker game, i’m just agreeing with others who have said that some cards may not be as interactive as you have in mind.

@ames12708:  Well, I would choose one or the other then.  Either “Find someone who…” or Couples Trivia Bingo.

You could even forgo the entire Bingo format and just do a trivia sheet, and the person with the most correct answers wins the prize.  I’ve been to a shower that played a game exactly like that, and it was tons of fun!

ETA-  The only reason I say choose one or the other is because I can see it getting really chaotic having to find a person to sign the card AND take time to fill out the trivia questions.  It could see that game lasting 30 minutes at the very least, just to get the answers done.  I could be wrong though, I’ve never played a “Find someone who…” game before outside of high school.  It may be faster with older, and more mature women.  Haha

@ames12708:  ah, i get it.

also, just wanted to put out there that you shouldn’t get offended by what people are saying on this thread. i’ve seen threads get attacky and this definitely isn’t one of them. i feel like people are just asking questions for clarity. i understand things are stressful when planning large events, but don’t ask for opinions/suggestions if you don’t want the answer.

You’ve pretty much already listed all the questions I can think of, and i didn’t really read the other posts but here are a few questions anyway

Where did the groom propose

What’s the brides favourite flower

When/How did they meet the parents

Name a hobby the couple share

You could do some like this….

Find someone with the same style shoes as bride (heels flip flops sneakers)

Find someone wearing same color as bride

Find someone with same color eyes/hair as bride

Find someone who brought the shower invite with them

Find the  first person who arrived at shower

find the last person to arrive at shower

Or… The brides favorite _______ (color, food, car, tv show, animal, beer, etc) is______, find someone else at the shower who loves it too (you would fill in your favorite on the card to start with and they would have to find someone else who loves the same thing.)

You could also throw in a few non bride related ones if you need some more filler like

Find someone with _______(lipstick, hand sanitizer, more then five keys, kleenex, cellphone, candy, grocery list, picture of family etc.) in their purse.
