(Closed) Id love to hear your stories… Where did FH propose?

Ours was just in the comfort of our own home, just before we went out for the evening. He wanted us to go out as an engaged couple. Just a random Saturday evening this past January.

My DH proposed with a cushion halo ring at the end of a secluded section of Whitehaven Beach in the Great Barrier Reef, Whitsundays. It was perfect!

My fiance proposed to me at the zoo — in the jungle building, right in the middle of a rope bridge next to a couple waterfalls.  I thought it was very sweet!  I totally was not expecting it (since going to the zoo was my idea) until we were about to cross the bridge (he started acting a bit funny).  What’s funny is that looking back at pictures from earlier in the day (we went to the jungle building last), the ring box is so apparent in his pocket, I don’t know how I didn’t notice it!

My fiance proposed to me on our 2 year anniversey trip in Pittsburgh. I had thought he was going to propose to me at the Warhol Museum because he knew how badly I wanted to go there. He actually ended up proposing to me at the Mattress Factory in an exhibit that was completely dark. I was having a mini-meltdown about having to sit in total darkness for 15 minutes (thats how long you were supposed to stay until you could actually see whatever the exhibit was, obviously I didn’t stay in there that long) He told me to calm down and give him my hand. He slipped the ring on my finger and asked me if I’d marry him.

DH planned a surprise “date weekend” for us, and it included a tour of the Library of Congress. After the tour and wandering around a bit, we went outside and he proposed on the front steps of the library, with the sun setting behind him.  It was perfect! He completed the weekend with a nice hotel suite and dinner at a fancy Indian restaurant.
